Vocational Qualification in Restaurant and Catering
As a chef at the Sámi Education Institute, students prepare, high-quality foods using locally sourced natural ingredients: reindeer, fish, berries, and mushrooms. Students are also actively involved in the procurement of local raw materials.
In addition to undergraduate studies, students can refine their skills in upper level specialized training opportunities via partner assignments, parties, and events.
Career development opportunities are almost endless. In addition to Northern Lapland, students can study at work in Sweden, Norway, Russia and, of course, in Finland. There are plenty of job opportunities for those trained in the restaurant industry, especially in the northern hotel and restaurant industry.
