All instruction is in Finnish and/or Sámi. Occasionally, other languages of instruction may be possible.

In order to be accepted for studies, students must posses a Finnish Permanent Residence Permit, Finnish Citizenship, or other European Union citizen with authorization to student in Finland.

Student exchanges between the Sámi Education Institute and your home country institute may be possible under the strict planning and guidance of your academic counselor and International Program Office.

At Sakk, you can study your own path to a profession according to an independent study development plan. In the new VET application procedure, primary and secondary school graduates generally apply through a joint application process, while other applicants apply directly to the Sámi Education Institute. For other training, apply directly to the educational institution.
